The Northeast Asia Peace and Cooperation Initiative (NAPCI) was initiated with the aim of establishing a trust infrastructure between nations, starting from the discussions on soft security issues as our common threats in Northeast Asia and ultimately drawing a high level of cooperation under the name of trustpolitik, which is one of the South Korean government’s core values. The Sejong Institute has consistently strived to establish and expand the network of NAPCI in and out of Korea and made a number of fruitful achievements by hosting regular conferences which link government officials, civil experts, and research institutes together. This session will evaluate the past four years of NAPCI achievements, discuss about its practical progress, and finally seek its future directions
