This session explores the transformative role of technology in fostering peace and collaboration in Northeast Asia, emphasizing youth-led innovation. Building on the Global Digital Compact adopted under the Pact for the Future by UN member states in September 2024, and youth policy recommendations from UNDPPA’s Futuring Peace in Northeast Asia initiative, youth peacebuilders will discuss their key priorities for the region, including on digital inclusion, countering online hate speech and misinformation, advancing AI governance, and leveraging technology for peace and conflict resolution. The session will also spotlight efforts to bridge digital divides and promote safe, inclusive digital spaces, showcasing the vital role of youth in shaping a sustainable and collaborative digital future in the region and beyond.
