[YOUTH SESSION]K-diaspora Mnemonic: Searching Ultimate Measures Through 'LA Riots' for Coexistence

Korean immigrants are also called by the name 'K-Diaspora'. Within the search for a new home and life outside of
their homeland, K-diasporan immigrants have deal with discrimination for adversity, culture, community, and identity.

Although so many ""K-Diaspora"" live together all over the country, many people are not aware of their existence
and the social problems that arise in connecti,on with K-diaspora.

In this session, This session is focused on the concept and history of 'K-Diaspora'. Just as the Jeju 4.3 incident, which sharply became a symbol of peace on Jeju Island, this session seeks ways to make K-diaspora-related history the same. K-diaspora histories reflect how society lacks a sense of community. Our session seeks on ‘K-diaspora’ being the new symbol for peace in Korea. Our session coordinators who are particularly youth K-diasporans, plan this session to improve public awareness of K-diaspora and explore the direction of coexistence.
