Hyungwon Kang is an accomplished Columnist, Photojournalist, and visual editor with a track record of delivering digital content under deadlines meeting daily news cycles. During his 33-year career in mainstream U.S. journalism, Kang was a member of two Pulitzer Prize-winning teams, in 1993 at the Los Angeles Times for the coverage of the 1992 L.A. Riots, and in 1999 at the Associated Press Washington DC Photo Dept. for the coverage of the Lewinsky scandal / Impeachment of President Bill Clinton. After 33 years with mainstream media in North America: with the Los Angeles Times, The Associated Press, and Thomson Reuters, since 2020, Kang has been documenting Korean culture and history in “Visual History of Korea” columns and in photographs for future generations.
