Since the 2020 global pandemic, there has been a growing demand for new international cooperation beyond the existing development mechanisms towards more inclusive, innovative, and integrated development. The efforts to reconstruct the fundamental direction of international development cooperation are being attempted from various views beyond those areas that were immediately affected by the pandemic such as health, finance, and economics. As the Busan Partnership agreement recognized that all stakeholders have a different but complementary role to play in achieving development goals, the new direction has to put inclusiveness at the core of effective partnerships for development. While it will take time for this transition to get into its stride, it is important to make agile and inclusive progress.
