Biography

Eun Mie Lim is the director and professor of Ewha-KOICA Master’s and Ph.D. Program at the Graduate School of International Studies, Ewha Womans University. She specializes in international development cooperation, gender and development, gender mainstreaming, Korean economic development, and international migration. She received her B. A from Ewha Womans University and Master’s and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Washington. She has undertaken numerous studies and projects including the evaluation of Korea’s ODA for gender equality and tool-kits for gender mainstreaming in Korea’s ODA. She also conducted extensive research on the role of remittances as effective development finance in Nepal in collaboration with KOICA and IOM. She has been actively involved in curriculum design and training projects for women leaders from developing countries to promote their leadership capacity of gender equality and women's empowerment.
