The world has recently experienced a great revolution caused by COVID-19. Cities worldwide are working to find a way to overcome the crisis of the pandemic. ESG has especially stood out as a core competition factor in the management of cities and companies recently. Jeju also needs to change to face the new era.
In the past, Jeju has advocated an international city with a focus on a city that is free to do business, goods, and capital, and where people can freely move around. However, now it is necessary to prepare a future to develop into an international city through sustainable growth based on society, environment, and economy.
In this session, we will discuss how we should grow around the environment, society, and international exchange strategies and specify ways for Jeju’s prosperity as an international city.
