The world is witnessing the abrupt changes in international political and economic situation. The US-China confrontation tends to be expanded into confrontation between groups by engaging their own allies. The Russia-Ukraine war has been ongoing for over a year with no signs of a peaceful resolution. As a result, the global economy has suffered from increased oil prices and other economic challenges.
Meanwhile, the Middle East has also undergone significant changes. The Syrian Civil War has been raging for over a decade, and the Yemeni conflict shows no signs of being resolved. Two years ago, Abraham Agreement brought changes in diplomatic map. Recently, Saudi Arabia and Iran announced their intention to normalize their relationship, and other neighboring countries have also contributed new initiatives towards regional security.
In this context, Arab Ambassadors’ Roundtable is being held to explore how changes of political situation in the Middle East will impact global peace. We also aim to discuss the role of major countries in the region in this process.
