Partnership Between FAO and ROK for Inclusive Prosperity

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations Partnership and Liaison Office (hereinafter ‘FAO PLO’) was officially opened the door in the Republic of Korea (ROK) in April 2021. PLO embedding the mission to strengthen partnership between FAO and ROK including accelerating achieving food security, SDG implementation, eradicating hunger and poverty. To drive the mission, the PLO has been developing a “FAO-ROK Partnership and Resource Mobilization Strategy" with collaboration of Korea Association of International Development Cooperation (KAIDEC) and other key ROK stakeholders. This session at Jeju Forum aims to share and promote the partnership strategy with various stakeholders as well as ROK public. The session will also invite the key ROK international development academic institutes including KACUNS (Korea Academic Council on the United Nations System), JPI (Jeju Peace Institute) and others.
