Biography
Associate Professor in the field of international agricultural and forest policy from the Graduate School of International Agricultural Technology, Seoul National University in the Republic of Korea. She studied forest science (bachelor's degree) and environmental education (master's degree) at the Seoul National University, Republic of Korea. She gained a PhD in forest policy from the University of Göttingen in Germany. Her research interests include governance/regime discourse and communication, policy strategies and instruments, policy integration, international cooperation, and traditional knowledge of forest policy. Currently, she works as a coordinator of Research Group 9.03.04 Traditional Forest Knowledge (2019-2024) from IUFRO (International of Forest Research Organizations). She is participating as a Coordinating Lead author in writing the thematic assessment, “Sustainable Use of Wild Species” from IPBES (Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services) from 2018 to 2022. She also works as editor of the International Journal, ‘Trees, Forest and People’ (Elsevier).
