Recent climate change, environmental pollution, rapid urbanization, and population expansion are threatening the ecological and urban environment of the islands of the Asia Pacific region. In-depth discussions will be carried out with the presidents of universities in the Asia-Pacific region on the role of island universities for the sustainable development of the islands in question in order to respond to these dramatic environmental conversions. It is hoped that through this session, a new vision will be presented for the higher education sector in the Asia-Pacific islands as an alternative to the new environment and for collaborative leadership.
