The session, "Blue-Green Synergy: Enhancing Climate Resilience in the Asia-Pacific Region,” is designed to explore sustainable pathways in strengthening climate resilience through "Blue-Green Growth.” The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), as a treaty-based international, inter-governmental organization dedicated to supporting inclusive and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging economies, will invite experts from the 「Warm Temperate and Subtropical Forest Research Center of the Korea Forest Research Institute (KFRI)」, which is conducting international joint research on mangrove forests as a new approach to adapt to the climate crisis era, 「Mekong-ROK Cooperation Fund (MKCF)」, which aims to mitigate development gap through sustainable development, 「Korea Maritime Institute (KMI)」, which serves as a blue economy think tank in Korea, and 「Philippines Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA)」, which plans to transform Mindanao into a dynamic yet sustainable and inclusive island economy, to share and discuss practical cases in envisioning sustainable solutions through blue-green growth from regional to national levels. The shared practices will provide actionable insights and innovative approaches to bolstering climate resilience across the Asia-Pacific region.
