Sylvester SALES is a Development Management Officer with over 15 years of experience in project development and management, including investment promotion and international cooperation in the fields of agriculture, fisheries, and environment. He holds a Master’s Degree in Soil Science from the University of the Philippines, Los Baños (UPLB) and an Executive Program in Agribusiness from the University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P). He started his career in the non-government organizations as an advocate for peace, food security, and climate justice. Currently, he works at the Mindanao Development Authority in the Philippines, where he supervises and monitors the implementation of the BIMP-EAGA priority program and projects for Mindanao and Palawan in the Philippines. Among these projects are the BIMP EAGA-Republic of Korea Cooperation Fund (BKCF) projects, where his intervention and facilitation efforts have contributed to the successful implementation of projects supporting the growth and resiliency of the vital value chains in Mindanao, such as cacao, coffee, tropical fruits, vegetables, and fisheries.
