This colloquium seeks the Korean local council's new model for building sustainable and inclusive communities. Just as there are different government entities at the national level, local governments also have varieties for resolving conflicts peacefully. However, regardless of the political environment, all local governments have a separation of powers divided into legislative and executive branches. Such a strong mayor-council structure resulting from the past centralized system has produced many political conflicts so far.
