It has difficulty in finding a clue to the solution of the diplomatic conflict between Korea and Japan which was triggered by the issue of ‘Comfort Women Statue’ in Busan. In this situation, this session is to examine and compare which efforts East Asian and Europe have exerted for the historical reconciliation, and draw implications for solving the historical conflict that are now being faced in East Asia. Researches on historical reconciliation in Europe have been highlighted mostly in cases of an assailant, Germany. In this session, it is to look at reconciliation efforts from more various perspectives such as victim country, Poland and seek to find practical and concrete ways to historical reconciliation in East Asia.

부산 소녀상 문제를 둘러싸고 한일 외교갈등이 해결 의 실마리를 찾지 못하고 있다. 이러한 상황에서 동 아시아와 유럽이 역사화해를 위해 어떤 노력을 기울 여 왔는지를 비교·검토하고 현재 동아시아가 직면한 역사갈등 해소를 위한 시사점을 도출하고자 한다. 유럽의 역사화해라고 하면 지금까지는 가해국 독일 에 관심이 집중되었는데, 이 세션에서는 피해국 폴란드의 역사화해 등 좀 더 다양한 시각에서 역사화 해를 위한 노력을 검토하고 실천적인 역사화해 방안을 모색하고자 한다.
