The Direction of Future Values in the Design Industry When Considering Environmental Conservation and the Ecological Preservation of Jeju Island		 Samda
지구온난화, 이상기후, 플라스틱 오염, 자원 고갈 등이 지구 인류의 필수불가결적인 산업발전으로 인하여 생태계의 혼란, 인류적 갈등이 지속적으로 발생하고 있다. 유한한 지구에서 무한한 발전을 추구하는 모순적인 결과를 인지하고 인류의 번영과 기술 발전, 환경보존과 보전, 보호 등 두 영역의 가치충돌을 최소화하고 미래가치 디자인의 발전 방향성에 있어 방침과 표준을 모색해 보고자 한다. 산업혁명으로 초래된 대량생산에 의한 기존의 생산방식과 그로 인한 환경파괴의 심각성을 국내,외의 사례와 통계를 통하여 살펴보고, 3D프린팅, 서비스디자인, 유니버셜디자인, 산업디자인 등 각 분야의 디자인 전문가(패널)들의 토론을 통하여 환경의 보전과 보존을 고려한 디자인의 미래가치와 지속가능한 생산의 방향성에서 가장 우선시 되어야 할 기준을 제시하고자 한다.
궁극적으로, 제주의 환경을 고려한 디자인산업의 미래가치에 관한 인식의 환기가 되어 우리의 공존과 초국가적 협력을 이끌어냄이다.


The continuing industrial development of the human race has made ecological threats like global warming, abnormal weather occurrences, plastic pollution, and resource depletion inevitable, causing chaos in the natural ecosystems and stirring human conflicts.
Recognizing the contradictory results that come from pursuing infinite development on a planet with finite resources, our aim is to minimize the conflict of values that occurs in opposing areas - such as human prosperity and the continued development of technology, versus environmental preservation and protection - while seeking out policies and standards to lead the direction of future value design.
Existing production methods (originating from the Industrial Revolution and the advent of mass production) and the severity of environmental destruction that results from them will be examined through domestic and foreign cases, through statistics, and through discussions with design experts in various fields, such as 3D printing, service design, universal design, and industrial design. Through a panel discussion, we would like to present the criteria that should be prioritized when determining the future values of design, while also considering the conservation and preservation of the environment with a direction towards sustainable production.

Ultimately, the purpose is to provoke awareness of the future values of the design industry in consideration of Jeju's natural environment, leading to better coexistence and transnational cooperation.
