The session will introduce the PyeongChang Agenda for Peace (PCAP) 2030 which is the outcome of the PyeongChang Global Peace Forum (PGPF) that took place on the 1st anniversary of the PyeongChang Olympics on 9-11 Feb. 2018. The framework of PCAP 2030 has been drafted by scores of international peace institutions in concert and is scheduled to be adopted as a common agenda at the second PGPF in 2020.
This session will also discuss the role of public diplomacy in peace and how we can implement the UN Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) in line with the agenda for peace-making and disarmament in the context of succeeding PyoengChang’s legacy of peace and reconciliation.
