Biography
송진호 이사장은 한국 국제 협력단(KOICA)의 부회장이다. 그 전에는 한국의 CSO 네트워크 공동 위원장, 부산 광역시 사회 민주 촉진 기획단 공동 위원장, 부산 민주주의 포럼 회장(BuDF) 등 다양한 시민 사회 단체 및 네트워크 리더를 역임했고, 부산 민주주의 재단 이사회 이사, 사회 단체 홍보를 위한 네트워크 조직 위원, 빈곤 퇴치를 위한 글로벌 콜 (G-CAP Korea) 및 G-CAP 동아시아 협의회 공동 의장을 역임했다. 그는 1986년부터 32년간 한국 YMCA 사무 총장, 한국 YMCA 글로벌 시민 센터 사무 총장, 울산 YMCA 사무 총장, 부산 YMCA 사무 총장을 지냈다. 송 이사장은 부산 국제 개발 협력기구 (KAIDEC) 이사회, KoFID 운영 위원(한국), 국제 개발 협력기구 국제 개발에 대한 시민 사회 포럼)과 KCOC(해외 개발 협력 NGO 협의회), 아시아 대교 운영위원회(전 아시아 NGO 센터) 공동 의장을 맡고있고, 1985년 고려 대학교 경제학과를 졸업하고 통계학을 전공했으며 1999년부터 2001년까지 미국 유니온 신학교 (Union Theological Seminary)에서 객원 연구원으로 재직했다.
Mr. Song Jinho is Vice President of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). Prior to this, he served as a leader in a variety of civil society organizations & networks including Co-Chair of Busan CSO Network in Korea, Co-Chair of Busan Public-Private Network for Social Economy Promotion, Chairman of Busan Democracy Forum (BuDF), board member of Busan Democracy Foundation, board member as well as an organizer of Korea Network for Social Enterprise Promotion, and Co-Chair of Global Call to Action against Poverty (G-CAP Korea) and G-CAP East Asia. He had been Senior Executive Secretary of the National Council of Korea YMCAs, Executive Director of Korea YMCA Global Citizenship Center, Secretary-General of Ulsan YMCA and Busan YMCA since 1986 for 32 years.
Mr. Song served as an organizer for the Global Civil Society Forum in the High-Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness (HLF-4) in Busan, board member of KAIDEC (Korea Association of International Development Cooperation), steering committee member of KoFID(Korea Civil Society Forum on International Development) and KCOC(Korea NGO Council for Overseas Development Cooperation), and Co-Chair of the steering committee for Asian Bridge (former Asia NGO Center).
Mr. Song majored in Statistics and earned his degree in economics from Korea University, ROK, in 1985. From 1999 to 2001, he was a visiting scholar at the Union Theological Seminary, USA.
