There is a growing uncertainty in the security environment in Northeast Asia after the inauguration of the Trump administration. The North is continuously threatening neighboring countries with nuclear provocations. Northeast Asian countries compete and cause conflicts in seeking their national interests in the midst of emerging strategic competition between China and the US. Under the circumstances, instability on the Korean Peninsula is increasing with the rapidly changing orders in Northeast Asia. This session titled “Peace and Security on the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia” will be held to devise various policy plans with experts from major countries in Northeast Asia e.g., the US, China, Japan, and Russia with an aim to create an atmosphere of cooperation among regional countries and to ensure peace and security on the Korean Peninsula in the midst of increasing uncertain security environment in the Northeast Asia.
