Dr. Shin obtained his Ph.D degree from Peking University in China, majoring in political science. His main research area is China’s Foreign Policy, U.S.-China Relations, and ROK-China Relations. He was a legislative researcher at the Foreign Affairs and National Security Team of the National Assembly Research Service from 2007 to 2009; a research fellow at the Gyeonggi Research Institute (GRI) from 2009 to 2014; a member of education center for Unification from 2014 to present; an adjunct professor at the Graduate School of International Studies of Hanyang University from 2015 to present. Currently, he is a research fellow at the Division of Planning and Coordination of the Korea Institute for National Unification.
