In 2015, ‘migration’ is included as a target 10.7 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). A year later, in New York, the New York Declaration was announced to enhance international cooperation and solidarity for various aspects of migration, and the significance of orderly, safe, and responsible migration is magnified. In the Asia Pacific region, the volume of migrants is increasing each year. As the influence of migration is critical in departing countries and destination countries, the session will provide a platform to discuss and cooperate for the implementation of orderly, safe, and responsible migration.
