Biography
Mr. Hussein Macarambon joined the ILO Country Office for the Philippines as the national project coordinator for the Integrated Programme on Fair Recruitment (FAIR). This global project seeks to contribute to the promotion of fair recruitment practices globally and across specific migration corridors in North Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia. Target countries for pilot projects include Tunisia, Jordan, Nepal, and the Philippines.
Having a strong monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and research background, he has previously worked as a consultant to the UNESCO Regional Office in Jakarta, the UNDP, UNAIDS, WFP, Asian Development Bank, and the World Bank Manila Office. He also served as a researcher at the Asian Center - University of the Philippines and was a Lecturer at the Political Science departments of the Ateneo de Manila University and De La Salle University, Taft.
