As of 2015, energy stands at the center of global efforts to induce a paradigm shift towards low-carbon energy systems, green economies, poverty eradication, and sustainable development. From this point of view, we are going to convene a forum where we can make deep conversations about plans for cooperation between Asia and the Republic of Korea in the sustainable energy system by combining our efforts to construct a sustainable energy system in Asia and to find out Korea’s role, considering Korea’s targets for reduction of greenhouse-gas emissions and cooperation in Asia.
