Dr. YongMin Kim obtained his Ph.D. from Fudan University in China in 2013. He had worked for the Korea International Trade Association(KITA) and the Institute of International Trade(IIT) before starting his doctoral studies in China. From 2002 to 2005, he launched the KITA Shanghai Representative Office(KITA Shanghai) and worked for the Korean business relationship as a representative of KITA Shanghai. From November 2010 to October 2011, he worked as a visiting researcher for the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Shanghai. In July 2011, he joined the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong. As a senior researcher, YongMin studied Hong Kong/Mainland China, especially their economic/financial issues, and reported to the Korean government. Since he joined the faculty of Cheju Halla University in 2015, he has taught students in Dept. of Chinese Economics and Trade. YongMin Kim is now an advisory professor at the Bank of Korea(BOK) Jeju Branch and works for the society.
