This session aims to compare the foreign industrial workforce recruitment policies of Korea and Japan and to explore future challenges in building sustainable labor mobility systems. Participants will examine visa frameworks, skilled worker attraction strategies, corporate support mechanisms, labor rights protections, and social integration policies. Special emphasis will be placed on securing high-quality talent in a stable and long-term manner while enhancing multicultural acceptance and community integration. The discussion will also address structural labor shortages in key industries and policy adjustments needed to respond effectively. By sharing policy experiences and best practices, the session seeks to strengthen bilateral cooperation, promote institutional dialogue, and establish a sustainable and mutually beneficial framework for talent mobility between the two countries.
