Amid a complex crisis in geopolitical and economic security dimensions, the Korean Peninsula also faces the need to establish a new paradigm for cooperation between the two Koreas.
The new paradigm of cooperation will be able to become a driving force to overcome the complex crisis by considering not only inter-Korean cooperation but also international cooperation at the level of Northeast Asia in a balanced way.
This session seeks to find a direction that contributes to the promotion of peace as well as the contribution to green d?tente on the Korean Peninsula by exploring inter-Korean cooperation and international cooperation in Northeast Asia from various angles in terms of maritime and forest cooperation. In particular, SDG 14 (life below water), 15 (life on land) and SDG 2 (zero hunger), SDG 6 (clean water and sanitation), SDG 7 (affordable and clean energy), and SDG 13 (climate action) will be linked to discuss ways to expand cooperation between the two Koreas and Northeast Asia. Furthermore, by using this for unification education, we intend to find a way to strengthen the consensus and foundation for Korean unification.
