Biography
LE Thu Huong is a Programme Specialist in the Education Policy Section, UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, where she leads work on sector-wide education policies, planning and financing. She brings over 25 years of experience in education policy, system reform, financing and international development, supporting governments in strengthening education systems through evidence-informed policy design, sector planning, financial analysis and capacity development.
Her work at UNESCO spans country, regional and global levels, including technical support to ministries of education on sector reform, education management, financing strategies and resource mobilization. She has also contributed to UNESCO’s global coordination role for the Education 2030 Agenda and to multi-stakeholder cooperation mechanisms supporting SDG 4 implementation.
Her current work focuses on education financing, system transformation and the use of evidence, digital technologies and data to improve equity, efficiency and learning outcomes, particularly in resource-constrained contexts. She holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of New England, Australia.
