Biography
KIM Yuree is currently a Korea Foundation Visiting Professor and Lecturer in the Faculty of Korean Studies at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (USSH, VNU-HCM). She holds a Ph.D. in International Studies from Seoul National University, where she specialized in international relations, international political economy, and the security environment of Northeast Asia.
Prior to her current role, Dr. Kim served as a Specialist at the Korea Development Institute’s (KDI) Office of the North Korean Economic Studies and as a Research Fellow at the Export-Import Bank of Korea. In these positions, she focused on the North Korean economy, Inter-Korean relations, and regional financial cooperation. Her academic career also includes an appointment as a Korea Foundation Visiting Professor at Vytautas Magnus University in Lithuania and a participation in the Korea Foundation (KF) Global Challengers Program at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C. Dr. Kim's research interest encompasses East Asian relations, Inter-Korean relations, and the socio-economic transformations of Vietnam.
