JIN Hwalmin is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Science at Chonnam National University in South Korea. He worked at the Department of Political Science at the Korea Military Academy and at Tec de Monterrey in Mexico. His research focuses on international security and conflicts, civil-military relations, nuclear weapons, and alliance issues. His research has been published in Political Science Research and Methods, and has also been published in International Studies Quarterly, and The Journal of Legislative Studies. In 2014, he was a visiting scholar for the Korea Foundation at the Woodrow Wilson Center for International Scholars under the Korea Foundation (KF) Global Challengers Program. He also received a Fulbright Graduate Fellowship in 2016.
