Ambassador WONG Kai Jiun took up post as Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore to the ROK in August 2025, with concurrent accreditation to Mongolia. Prior to this, he served as Director-General of the Northeast Asia Directorate in the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2019 to 2024. His other overseas assignments include Senior Assistant Trade Representative at the Singapore Trade Office in Taipei (2009–2012) and Deputy Chief of Mission at the Singapore Embassy in Bangkok (2016–2019). Ambassador WONG holds a Master of Engineering from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom, and a Master of International Public Policy from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University, Washington, D.C., in the United States.
