Biography
KIM Woen Sick currently serves as the Director of Inter-Korean Relations Studies at the Institute for National Security Strategy (INSS). He received his Ph.D. in 2002 from Yonsei University, where he studied sociopolitical philosophy in the Department of Philosophy. Since 2001, he has been conducting research on political philosophy and discourse related to North Korea and international politics at the INSS. He is also currently active as the Editor-in-Chief of A Society for the Research of Society and Philosophy.
His recent research includes: "The Normalization of Inter-Korean Relations and the Wisdom of Peaceful Coexistence: The Case of the Basic Treaty between East and West Germany" (2025), INSS Issue Brief No. 739. "The Ideal of World Order: Peace League vs. Tianxia System" (2023), Social Philosophy NO. 45.
