Biography

Alisher ABDUSALOMOV is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Republic of Korea. Born on June 22, 1984, in Andijan Region, Uzbekistan, he graduated from Westminster International University in Tashkent in 2006 and later earned a degree from Kyung Hee University in 2011.

Ambassador ABDUSALOMOV has extensive experience in international trade, economic diplomacy, and foreign economic policy. He began his career at the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of Uzbekistan, where he worked in various senior specialist and managerial positions related to export development, import analysis, localization, and international cooperation.

From 2013 to 2016, he served as Counsellor on Trade and Economic Issues at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan. He later held key leadership positions at the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, including Head of the Department of International Cooperation on Foreign Trade. Between 2018 and 2024, he served as Counsellor on Trade and Economic Issues at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Korea, further strengthening bilateral economic relations. Since 2024, he has been serving as Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to the Republic of Korea. He is fluent in Russian and English.
