Prof. So is working in Konkuk University, has done activities in NGO(CCEJ) and advised about policies of governments. Recently, Prof. So refers policies to a committee as a member of the Presidential Commission on Policy Planning(PCPP) and a chairman of policies committee in CCEJ. He is a practical scholar with theory and practical experience by having done in CCEJ and PCPP.
He writes many books as (2017), (2012), (2008), and (2002).



소순창교수는 건국대학교 행정학과 교수로 재직하고 있으며, 오랫동안 시민단체활동(경실련)과 정부의 정책자문을 해 왔다. 현재는 대통령직속 정책자문위원회 위원으로 활동하고 있으며, 경실련 정책위원장을 맡고 있다. 정부의 정책 자문과 시민단체의 활동을 통하여 이론과 현실을 두루 겸비하고 있는 실천적 학자이다.
저서로는 <지역의 비전 국가의 미래>(2017), <한국 민주주의 어디까지 왔나>(2012), <지방정부의 역량과 정책혁신>(2008), <지방정부의 이론과 실제>(2002)이 있다.
