Dr. Han Fangming, born in 1966, obtained his PhD from Peking University and conducted post-doctoral research at Harvard University. He is the founding chairman and leading sponsor of The Charhar Institute, a Chinese non-governmental think tank on international relations. He was a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) for the 10th, 11th and 12th sessions. From March 2008, he has held the post of Vice-Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPPCC National Committee. From 1999 to June 2015, he served as director, executive director and vice chairman of the board the TCL Group, a world major TV maker. His current titles also include: Vice Chairman of the Western Returned Scholars Association, Vice Chairman of China Overseas-Educated Scholars Development Foundation, Vice President, China Foundation for Peace and Development, senior council member of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs; and council member of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. Aslo appointed by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, he serves as board member of several state-owned enterprises, such as China State Shipbuilding Corporation, Power China and CNPC Capital.
Dr. Han is also a member of the China Committee on Religion and Peace. He has been committed to promoting peace on the Korean Peninsula and friendship between China and Korea through public diplomacy, especially Buddhist exchanges. He serves as international advisor to a number of major sects of Korean Buddhism. In recognition of his contributions, Dongguk University awarded him an honorary doctorate on political science. He is the chief foreign affairs advisor of the Gyeonggi-do Provincial Government. As a An Jung-geun Scholarship fellow awarded by Peking University, he is trying to present a landmark statue of General An Jung-geun (1879-1910), as a gift to the Korean people to celebrate the recent improvement of China Korea relations.
韩方明博士出生于1966年，毕业于北京大学获博士学位，并曾在哈佛大学从事博士后研究。他是中国非官方的外交与国际关系智库察哈尔学会的创会主席。历任第十届、第十一届和第十二届全国政协委员，2008年3月起担任全国政协外事委员会副主任；1999年至2015年6月历任TCL集团董事、执行董事和副董事长；现任欧美同学会副会长、中国留学人才发展基金会副理事长、中国和平发展基金会副会长、中国人民外交学会高级理事、中国人民对外友好协会理事。目前还受国务院国资委委派担任中国船舶、中国电建、中油资本等央企的董事会成员。
韩博士也是中国宗教界和平委员会委员，长期致力于通过公共外交特别是佛教交流推动半岛和平与中韩友好，是韩国佛教界多家主要宗派的顾问。为表彰他的贡献，东国大学曾授予他荣誉政治学博士学位。他目前也担任京畿道政府的首席外事顾问，作为北京大学早期的安重根奖学金获得者，他正在推进向韩国人民赠送一座安重根巨型雕像的工作以配合近期两国关系的持续改善。
