약력

Zhang Ruizhuang is a professor of International Relations at Nankai University, Tianjin, China where he serves as Dean of the Academy of International Studies and Director of the Center of American Studies. He got his Ph.D. in political science from University of California at Berkeley.
His teaching and research interests include International Relations, US foreign policy, Chinese foreign policy and Sino-US relations. Social sciences methodology is another area his work has focused on.
He is a Vice President of China Association of International Relations (since 2010) and Editorial Board Member of Chinese Journal of International Politics (Oxford University Press, SSCI source). He sits on the Executive Board of several other academic associations in China.
Professor Zhang was a visiting fellow at the Nobel Institute (Norway, 2014), and SAIS, Johns Hopkins U (1984). He also taught courses as a visiting professor at U of Virginia/ISE (2012), U of Minnesota (2008-09), Peking U (2005) and Catholic U (S. Korea, 2002).
He has published extensively in top journals of international relations and foreign policy in China, with his latest book being The Unharmonious World (Shanghai Peoples’ Publishing House, 2010). He is also the author of chapters in books in English published by Palgrave Macmillan and Oxford University Press.
