약력
이기우는 1956년 9월 10일 대한민국 울산출생으로 1991년3월1일부터 인하대학교 교수로 재직하였고, 2022년 3월 1일부터 명예교수가 되었다. 이기우는 지방자치법과 지방분권, 시민참여 등에 관한 논문과 저서를 발간하였다. 대표적인 저서로는 지방자치행정법(1991년), 지방자치이론(1994), 지방분권적 국가개조론(2014), 직접민주주의(2016), 스위스의 지방분권(2021) 등이 있다.
Ki-Wu Lee is an emeritus professor in Inha University Law School. He is one of the most important scholars leading the academic discourse on decentralization in Korea. Over the 30 years of his academic career he has played a keyrole in researching and promoting decentralization and local autonomy with his expertise in the Constitution of Korea, local law and institution. He also has profound experience in the field of public governance. He served as a member of Adversory Committee for Constitutional Reform in National Assembly(2017). He also served as a member of Presidential Adversory Committee for Decentralization many years.
