약력
손지애는 이화여자대학교 국제대학원 초빙교수로서, 국제 커뮤니케이션 전문가이다. 또한, 그녀는 세계은행 및 아시아재단 등 여러 기구에 커뮤니케이션 전략 자문을 제공하고 있다. 손지애 교수는 1995년부터 2010년까지 CNN 서울지국장 및 특파원으로 15년간 재직하였다. 손교수는 2010년 서울에서 개최된 G20 정상회의 준비위원회 대변인을 맡았으며, 이후 대통령실 해외홍보비서관으로 활동하였다. 또한 한국의 유일한 영어방송국인 아리랑 TV와 라디오를 운영하는 국제방송교류재단의 사장을 역임하였다.
Jie-ae Sohn is an invited professor at the Graduate School of International Studies at Ewha Womans University, focusing on international communications. She also consults on communications strategies for various organizations such as the World Bank and the Asia Foundation. Jie-ae spent 15 years from 1995 to 2010 as CNN’s bureau chief and correspondent based in Seoul. She then joined the South Korean government, serving as the spokesperson of the Presidential Committee for the Seoul G20 Summit in 2010 and then the Presidential Secretary of the Office of Overseas Public Relations. She was the President/CEO of the Korea International Broadcasting Foundation, which runs Korea’s only English-language broadcasting station, Arirang TV and Radio.
