Professor Yunjong Wang graduated from Seoul National University (BA and MA) and obtained Ph.D in Economics from Yale University. During 1993-2004, he was a Senior Research Fellow and Managing Director for Regional Economic Studies, at Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP). Since he moved to the private sector, he worked as a senior economist at SK Research Institute (2004-2009), Head of research and Planning at SK China (2010-2012), and Senior Vice President at SK SUPEX Council (2013-2015). During his stay in China, he also served as Chairman of Korean Chamber of Commerce, China (2012-2013). He is currently professor at Department of International Management, Dongduk University. He also serves as a board member of Hyosung Chemical. In the academia, he served as President of the Korean Association of Contemporary China Studies and Vice President of the Korean Academic Association of International Commerce. His main research interest covers international trade, international finance, economic development, open macroeconomics and the Chinese economy. He published numerous academic articles in Japan and the World Economy, Pacific Economic Review, Review of World Economics, International Journal of Finance and Economics, The World Economy, Seoul Journal of Economics, Asian Economic Papers, Journal of Asian Economics, Review of Development Economics, Korean Economic Review, Journal of International Economic Studies, Journal of the Japanese and International Economics, International Economic Journal, Contemporary Journal of Chinese Studies and many others.
