약력
이창원은 미국 메릴랜드대학에서 사회학 박사 학위를 취득하고 현재 이민정책연구원의 연구위원으로 재직 중이다. 주요 관심사는 국제이주, 이민정책, 인종주의, 재외한인 등이다. 최근에는 과학기술분야의 유학생과 외국인 연구자의 한국 이주와 실태에 관한 연구를 하고 있다. 현재 대통령 직속 지속가능발전위원회 위원으로도 활동하고 있다.
Changwon LEE received his doctorate in sociology from the University of Maryland at College Park, USA and is currently working as a senior policy researcher at the Migration Research & Training Centre. His main interests are international migration, migration policy, racism, and Korean diaspora. He has recently been conducting research on the migration and employment status of international students and foreign researchers in the field of science and technology to Korea. He currently serves as a member of the Presidential Commission on Sustainable Development.
