약력
김성경은 현재 북한대학원대학교 부교수 및 남북한 마음통합 연구센터 부국장으로 재직중이다. 한국연구재단의 등재지 현대북한연구의 편집장을 맡고 있다. 김성경 교수는 영국 University of Essex에서 사회학 박사 학위를 받았고 싱가포르 국립대의 아시아연구소의 선임방문학자 및 사회학과의 강의전담교수를 역임했다. 현재 대통령 직속 정책기획위원회 평화번영분과 위원과 통일부 정책자문위원으로도 활동하고 있다. 주요 연구 분야는 문화사회학, 이주연구, 북한사회와 문화이다.
Sung Kyung Kim currently works as Associate Professor and a deputy director of the Center for North-South Korea Mind Integration at the University of North Korean Studies. She also works as an editor-in-chief in Review of North Korean Studies which is a Korean Citation Index Journal (KCI) issued by Korean Research Foundation. She received her Ph.D. in sociology at the University of Essex in UK and previously served as a lecturer in the Department of Sociology and a senior visiting fellow in Asia Research Institute (ARI) at the National University of Singapore (NUS). She is a member of Peace and Prosperity Division in the Presidential Commission on Policy-Planning and a board member in Ministry of Unification, ROK. Her research interests are North Korean society and culture; North Korean mobility; Sociology of emotion and affect; cultural geography and cultural studies. Recent publications are in the field of North Korean studies, Asian mobility, migration studies, and cultural industry.
