약력

Brian Calfano is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Missouri State University. In 2013, he became a policy advisor for the City of Los Angeles Human Relations Commission. Dr. Calfano has over 50 academic publications to his credit, including the 2013 Temple University Press book God Talk: Experimenting with the Religious Causes of Public Opinion and articles in Political Research Quarterly, Political Communication, and International Studies Perspectives.

He earned his Ph.D. in political science from the University of North Texas in 2007.

Dr. Calfano is the director of The Missouri State University Poll Research Center and a coordinator of the university's certificate program in Press-Politics (a joint curricular program featuring training for students and career professionals in statistical analysis and applied behavioral research, journalism, news writing, and media production). In addition, he is the coordinator of the graduate mentoring program for the Religion and Politics Section of the American Political Science Association.

Dr. Calfano earned his Ph.D. in political science from the University of North Texas in 2007. He has received research grants from the National Science Foundation, the Religious Research Association, the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion, and The American Political Science Association. From 2009-2012, Dr. Calfano was an annual speaker at the Forum of Fes (Morocco), organized by CMIESI and sponsored by King Mohammad VI. He was an ICPSR fellow at the University of Michigan in 2005 and participated in Donald Green's field experiments workshop at Yale University in 2010.
