주한 프랑스 대사로 임명된 필립 르포르는 유럽 외무부에서 정보 시스템 국장을 맡고 있다. 초기에는 언어학자로 일했으며, 이후, 도쿄, 워싱턴, 모스크바, 트빌리시를 포함한 다수의 수도에서 다양한 직책에 임명되어 업무를 수행했다. 또한, 조지아 및 브뤼셀 주재 대사로 임명된 바 있으며, 유럽연합 특별대표로 활동하며 프랑스 외교 분야에서 지금까지 20년 이상 경력을 쌓아오고 있다.
Mr. Philippe LEFORT is currently the Ambassador of France to the Republic of Korea. Previously, he served as Director general for Information Systems in the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. Initially a linguist, his carrier in the French diplomacy spans more than twenty years, during which he served in numerous positions and capitals, including Tokyo, Washington, Moscow, Tbilissi, as Ambassador in Georgia and Brussels, as Special Representative of the European Union for the Caucasus.
