Seunghoon PAIK is a Researcher at the Institute for Middle Eastern Studies of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Seoul. He is also a cooperative professor at Korea National Diplomatic Academy and an advisory committee member of National Intelligence Service. He was an Assistant Researcher at the Department of European & African Studies, Institute of Foreign Affairs & National Security (IFANS), Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Seoul, Korea.
He holds a BA in Arabic and a MA degree in Politics from the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Seoul. and a PhD in International Relations at Durham University.

백승훈 박사(paik-house@hanmail.net)는 한국외국어대학교 중동연구소 전임 연구원
및 아랍통번역학과 중동 정치학 강사이다. 영국 Durham 대학에서 국제관계학 박사
학위를 취득하고 미국 워싱턴 소재 씽크탱크 Global Risk Intelligence의
non resident 자문위원으로 활동했었다. 현재 국립외교원 협력 교수와 국가정보원
중동 자문위원으로 활동 중이다. 주요 연구 분야는 중동지역 안보, 핵비확산, 외교
정책 및 외교관계 등을 진행하고, 주요 저서로는 『중동 지역 에너지 산업 비교 연구』,
『Nuclear Politics in Asia』 등이 있으며, 주요 논문으로는 “중동의 지경학적 전환과 일대일로:중동과 중국의 전략적 협력 가능성 분석”, “Revisiting the US nonproliferation Strategy on Iran” 등이 있다. 중동 정치 안보 및 국제 관계에 관련하여 집필 및 다양한 학술활동에 참여하고 있다.
