약력
김병석 박사는 서울대학교 토목공학과를 졸업하였으며 한국건설기술연구원 남북한인프라특별위원회위원장을 맡고 있다. 그는 한국건설기술연구원 기획조정실장·SOC성능연구소장·선임연구본부장, 대한토목학회 부회장·시방서및기준위원장, 국토교통부 국토교통미래기술위원·중앙건설기술심의위원, 국회입법조사처 자문위원, 감사원 자문위원 등을 역임했고, 현재 한국교량및구조공학회 부회장, 국가표준실무위원회 위원으로도 활동하고 있다. 그는 2011년부터 북한 인프라 개발 연구팀을 조직한 후 남북한 공동번영의 기반 구축을 위해 지속적으로 노력해왔다. 현재는 북한 인프라 개발을 위한 전략과 특화기술 개발 부문에 노력을 경주하고 있다.
Dr. Kim received B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Seoul National University and currently serves as the chairman of Korean Peninsular Infrastructure Special Committee at the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT). He has served as vice president of Korean Society of Civil Engineers (KSCE) as well as of KICT. He has also served as advisory committee member for Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT), Korean National Assembly and Board of Audit and Inspect of Korea (BAI). He is recently vice president of Korean Institute of Bridge and Structural Engineering (KIBSE). Since he organized a research team for infrastructure development of North Korea in 2011, he has been conducting research activities for the infrastructure development of Korean Peninsula. His current research focuses on the development of specialized construction technologies for infrastructures of North Korea.
