약력
조성렬 박사는 국가안보전략연구원 자문연구위원으로 근무하고 있으며, 한국국제정치학회 부회장과 북한연구학회 회장을 역임했다. 2017년 5월에는 대통령 러시아특사단의 일원으로 활동했다. 현재 청와대 국가안보실 정책자문위원, 통일부 정책자문위원장, 국방부 정책자문위원, 민주평통자문회의 상임위원을 맡고 있다. 1982년 서울대학교 공과대학 화학공학과를 나와, 성균관대학 대학원에서 정치학 박사학위를 취득했으며, 일본 도쿄대학, 게이오대학과 중국 외교학원에서 방문연구원을 역임했다. 주요저서로는 『전략공간의 국제정치: 핵, 우주, 사이버 군비경쟁과 국가안보』(서강대출판부, 2016), 『뉴 한반도비전: 비핵 평화와 통일의 길』(백산서당, 2012), 『한반도 평화체제』(도서출판 푸른나무, 2007), 『주한미군: 역사, 쟁점, 전망』(도서출판 한울, 2003) 외 많은 공저와 학술논문, 신문칼럼이 있다.
CHO, Seong-Ryoul is a Senior Advisor in the Institute for National Security Strategy(INSS). He is advising as an Advisors for the Office of National Security, Department of National Defense, Department of Unification, and a standing member of the National Unification Advisory Council. He was a vice President of the Korean Association of International Studies(KAIS) and a President of the Korean Association of North Korean Studies(KANS). He was a Visiting Fellow at Tokyo University, Keio University and at Chinese Foreign Affairs University. He graduated in Chemical Engineering at Seoul National University in 1982 and holds an MA and a Ph.D in political science at Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul. He has contributed a number of writings on contemporary military and international issues in Northeast Asia including US Forces in Korea: Retrospect and Prospect , 2003 and Peace Regime for the Korean Peninsula: Denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and Observations on the DPRK Regime, 2007, The New Korean Vision: Denuclearized, Peaceful and Unified Korea, 2012 and International Politics of Strategic Spaces: Arms Races in the Domains of Nuclear Weapons, Space, Cyberspaces, 2016.
