약력

John Delury is Associate Professor of Chinese Studies at Yonsei University Graduate School of International Studies and Underwood International College in Seoul, South Korea. His first book, Wealth and Power: China’s Long March to the Twenty-First Century, co-authored with Orville Schell, was published by Random House in 2013, and was translated into Chinese, Japanese and Korean. He also follows Korean Peninsula affairs closely, contributing regularly to Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, Global Asia and 38 North, and the UK website FutureLearn offers his MOOC (massive open online course), “Lips and Teeth: Korea and China in Modern Times.” John is currently a senior fellow at the Asia Society, term member of the Council of Foreign Relations, member of the National Committee on North Korea, and fellow in the National Committee on US-China Relations’ Public Intellectuals Program. He previously taught for brief stints at Brown, Columbia, and Peking Universities, and was associate director of Asia Society's Center on US-China Relations in New York. He received his BA, MA and PhD in history from Yale University.
