약력
와다 하루키는 역사학자(현대 러시아사 및 한국학). 도쿄대학교 명예교수. 1938년 1월 13일 출생. 마지막 보직은 도쿄대학교 사회과학연구소 교수 및 소장이었으며, 1998년 3월 정년퇴임하였다.
그는 1995년부터 2007년까지 일본군 ‘위안부’ 문제 해결을 위해 설립된 아시아여성기금(Asian Women’s Fund)에서 활동하였으며, 마지막 직책은 사무총장(Executive Director, 2005~2007)이었다. 현재는 북일 국교정상화 추진 일본협회(Japanese Association for Promotion of Diplomatic Normalization with DPRK) 사무총장(2000년~현재)을 맡고 있다.
