신남방정책과 인도-태평양에서의 한국의 지역전략

For the past four years, the Moon Jae-in administration in Korea has been actively pursuing New Southern Policy as a diplomatic diversification strategy to cope with the changing international relations in the Indo-Pacific. Seoul has been working very hard toward building comprehensive and strategic partnerships with these countries. South Korea is facing unforeseen challenges and strategic constraints as the US-China competition has intensified and geo-strategic dynamics in the Indo-Pacific are rapidly changing. What kind of position and role should South Korea take in the emerging Indo-Pacific strategic landscape? This session will examine South Korea’s regional strategy and role in the Indo-Pacific region and explore the ways in which South Korea can best advance its national interests as well as contribute to peace and prosperity in the region.
