Global solidarity between countries and regions has become a key issue amidst the outbreak of Covid-19 as the pandemic has given rise to political, economical, and regional disputes domestically and internationally.
Global Peace Cities Solidarity, proposed by Jeju at the 2018 Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity, is significant in that it aims to improve diplomatic relations by restoring severed ties and easing conflict situations. In preparing for our time after Covid-19, this session on Global Peace Cities Solidarity will provide an opportunity for member cities to share their experience and discuss sustainable peace and inclusive prosperity in the post-Covid-19 era.
