Recently, there has been a surge of excitement about the growing number of peace treaties in the Middle East. Each of them has the potential to build sustainable peace. Moreover, they are deemed diplomatic breakthroughs for the states directly involved and models worthy of close examination for all peace-loving nations. The Republic of Korea, in particular, has much to gain from learning about them as it seeks to formulate a viable diplomatic strategy to advance peace in the Korean Peninsula. The roundtable session aims to provide insight into peace treaties in the Middle East and discuss their implications for peace in the Korean Peninsula.
